Promoting Industry Based Research and Innovations


Dr (Mrs) Olayide Folashade Obidi of the Department of Biological Sciences, Anchor University, made Anchor University proud as she recently received an Academic Fellowship Award from the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP). During the presentation of the award, at the Reiz Continental Hotel Abuja, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology and Chairperson, NOTAP Governing board, Dr Amina Shamaki said the award is meant to promote innovations that should give values to industry needs and drive economy development.

The award is another prove of Anchor University’s drive to promote scientific research among the students and the staff of the University. Along with Dr Obidi, who is on a Sabbatical in AUL from the University of Lagos, nine other young Nigerians received the award during the ceremony.
