Anchor University is established not only to focus on academic learning and excellence but to harp on character development and mitigate the tide of moral degradation and delinquency that pervades our national life. The philosophy of Anchor University is the one that realises that the light of knowledge illuminates the mind, liberates the man and upgrades human qualities, faculties and professional skills that result in a discernable impact on all areas of human endeavour. It believes in the power of education to create social and economic mobility and in the morality of social value making higher education accessible to everyone.

Anchor University is a unique University born in due time to address the gaps in quality education in Nigeria and beyond. But more importantly focused on raising exceptional leaders that bear the mark of Christ and are poised to brighten their corners across different walks of life, globally.

The vision is to be a citadel of learning for holistic human transformation and development anchored on the tripartite wheels of Character, Competence and Courage. This vision has found expression in our Outcome-Based Education approach, which is IT-driven by diligent and competent staff in a most serene environment. We are determined to create a model University that is poised to compete with the best in the world.

We have a target of becoming one of the leading Universities in Nigeria in no time and, indeed, a reputable citadel of learning that should be a reference point globally. History

Anchor University was Founded in 2016, a private higher education institution located in the urban setting of Ayobo-Ipaja, Lagos. Officially accredited and recognized by the National Universities Commission, Nigeria. Anchor University, Lagos (AUL) is a young (uniRank enrolment range: 500 – 999 students) evangelical co-educational higher education institution.
