The Vice-Chancellor, of Anchor University, Prof. Samuel Bandele, has commended the school team that featured at the recently concluded undergraduate category in Science and Technology Research Competition organised by the Lagos State Science Research and Innovation Council (LASRIC).
Bandele, who praised the students, said the feat was achieved through hard work and commitment to studies by the winners of the highly competitive research work.
While commending them, the VC noted that the institution grooms students to become leaders and captains of industries in their respective fields in all endeavours.
He stressed that the ivory tower is blessed with seasoned lecturers who have impacted the students positively, saying the result was evident in the performance of the students at the competition.
“I am proud of my students for showing the stuff in them in this competition. It is my joy that these young scholars have been able to live up to the expectations of the school management.
“It is obvious that the school has impacted them tremendously. There is no doubt, more awards are still in the kitty as they participate in future competitions,” he said.
Three students: Samuel Oluwatosin Olabisi (200 Level), Prisca Feyikemi Osasona (200 Level), and Christian Udoh (400 Level), from Physics/ Electronic Department, featured in the keenly contested competition and came out as the best participants.
The students were awarded a laptop and N800,000 for winning the competition.
