HEAD OF DEPARTMENT'S WELCOME ADDRESS

You are welcome to the Department of Political Science and International Relations (PSIR), Anchor University, Lagos. The Department has two programmes: BSc. Political Science and BSc. International Relations. The Department is poised to train and send forth scholars and professionals with a rear combination of academic/intellectual sagacity and an excellent character into the society and the world at large as major drivers and facilitators of local and global socio-economic and political transformation. The Department was established in 2017 in order to add to the society the missing clues of our socio-economic and political wellbeing through the well-groomed and grounded graduates.

The mission and the vision statements of the Department are lucid. The Department therefore, shall not relent in her effort to go any length in developing in our students a critical mind, required skills and ability to understand, analyse, predict and influence the variables that shape and mould power relations in an ever dynamic socio-economic and political environment in an increasingly globalizing and challenging world. With the above life-transforming mission and vision of the Department, I therefore gladly welcome you to the Department of Political Science and International Relations (PSIR), Anchor University, Lagos.
