Mechanisms and Regulations of Thermomemory in Plants

How do plants remember previous exposure to abiotic stresses? What are the mechanism and regulatory drivers of these traits – accumulation and maintenance of proteins, genetic or epigenetic makeup or a combination? What are the impacts of these memory traits on the yield of food crops? These curiosities give me the unflinching desire to continue as a researcher in the beautiful world of plant molecular biology and abiotic stress, and I’m excited at how close I am to contribute enormously to actualizing my dream of solving thermomemory puzzles in plants.
