Explore Anchor University

Anchor University Lagos is situated at Ayobo Road, Ipaja, in the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, one of the most densely populated urban zones in Africa. The campus occupies a large, gated estate with dedicated academic, residential, and recreational zones.

The campus was purpose-designed for university use, with phased infrastructure development ongoing to support AUL's growing student population. The main gate, administrative complex, faculties, library, chapel, hostels and sports facilities are all within the campus boundary.

AUL's location in Lagos provides direct access to Nigeria's commercial and legal hub, giving students proximity to the industries, firms and institutions where they will build their careers.

Accreditation & Ranking
NUC Accreditation

Nationally accredited. Globally recognised.

Anchor University Lagos holds full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC), the federal body responsible for regulating university education in Nigeria. All AUL programmes have passed NUC's Full Accreditation assessment.

NUC accreditation means that every degree awarded by AUL is a nationally recognised qualification, accepted by employers, professional bodies, and postgraduate institutions across Nigeria and internationally.

AUL undergoes regular NUC monitoring visits, and all new programmes are subject to NUC approval before students are enrolled. The university's quality assurance processes are aligned with NUC's Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS).

Webometrics measures a university's web presence and academic output. AUL is building its score through an open-access research repository, staff Google Scholar profiles, and a content-rich, crawlable website.

National Universities Commission (NUC)

NUC's Full Accreditation assessment evaluates curriculum, staffing, facilities, and student outcomes for every programme. All AUL programmes have obtained NUC accreditation.
