About this programme
The B.Sc. programme in Medical Laboratory Science at AUL is a rigorous, industry-aligned programme designed to produce graduates who are immediately productive, ethically grounded, and capable of contributing meaningfully to the Nigerian economy.
Students engage with core disciplinary knowledge, practical intelligence, collaborative problem-solving, and real-world project work from the first year of study.
The programme is built around AUL's conviction that knowledge must serve human flourishing. Students explore professional ethics alongside the technical and intellectual foundations of Medical Laboratory Science.
Graduates are prepared for professional practice, research, entrepreneurship, and further study across Nigeria and the wider global community.
Entry Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 years at the time of admission; Diploma and JUPEB applicants may apply from age 14.
- Minimum of five credit passes at SSCE, GCE, NECO, or equivalent in not more than two sittings.
- Credits must include English Language and Mathematics, except for Humanities and Law programmes where Mathematics may not be compulsory.
- UTME candidates must obtain an acceptable JAMB score and satisfy Anchor University's Post-UTME screening.
- Direct Entry candidates require the relevant five O Level credits plus at least two Advanced Level passes or equivalent qualifications acceptable to the University.
Programme requirement: Five credit passes at SSCE or equivalent in English, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
JAMB subjects: English, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
- Two A'level passes in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics, or Biology in that order. OND credit passes plus five SSCE credits or equivalent may be considered.
